Patrol Division
The Kleberg County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division is comprised of one patrol Lieutenant, four patrol Sergeants, and eight patrol Deputies. Together this force comprises the backbone of law enforcement efforts in unincorporated areas of Kleberg County. In addition to answering regular calls for service these deputies provide routine patrol bys of schools, businesses, and the cities of Ricardo and Riviera. Also KCSO deputies enforce traffic laws on all county and state roadways and proactively investigate transport of illegal materials and or persons through Kleberg County.
Kleberg County Sheriff's Office maintains a narcotics K9 unit and a ATV unit assigned to patrol. The K9 unit consists of two full-time handler/K9 teams. Together these teams act in cooperation with regular patrol deputies to locate and investigate possible illegal drugs and/or money being transported through Kleberg County. The ATV's are avaliable to Sheriff's Deputies for use during special operations and in the search and rescue situations.
The Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division offers Out of Town Patrol-Bys for all residence in un-incorporated areas of Kleberg County including the cities of Ricardo and Riviera. If you are planning on being out of town for an extended amount of time and would like your house to be on the out of town patrol list please take the time to fill out a Patrol-By form.
